This is not a ship model but a photo-etched set of accessories for refining plastic models of American battleships in 1:700 scale in their modernized Second World War form. The fine brass parts replace the coarser plastic elements and give the build detail in a realistic material thickness.
It contains pre-formed railings in several versions, including sections for the raised bow, vertical and inclined ladders, aircraft catapults and the crane for hoisting shipboard floatplanes, cable reels, shields for the light 20mm weapons and the gratings of the funnel caps. The set is conceived for modernized standard battleships in late service.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and make the bends in the pre-pressed groove using a photo-etch bender or two razor blades. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) for gluing, and only a small amount. Apply primer before painting and spray with an airbrush so that the fine gratings stay legible.
The ship model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
