An injection-molded plastic kit of German Second World War artillery from which you can build either the heavy field howitzer of 15 cm caliber or the heavy field gun of 10.5 cm caliber - both weapons shared the same carriage. The set contains parts for both versions and, on top of that, several figures of German soldiers serving the gun, which makes it easy to place the model in a display case or a diorama.
The heavy field howitzer of 15 cm caliber was one of the mainstays of German divisional artillery and was produced in large numbers throughout the war. The same carriage carried the heavy field gun of 10.5 cm caliber with a longer range, built in smaller numbers and deployed both for divisional support and for coastal defense. Both weapons could be split for transport and towed by prime movers or half-tracks.
This is a gun, not a vehicle - concentrate on a clean assembly of the carriage, the barrel and the shield. Decide before you start which version you are going to build, the howitzer or the gun. A restrained patina suits a dark yellow or gray base: a fine wash into the recesses of the mechanism, drybrushing on the edges and dust pigments on the lower areas and on the trail. The crew figures bring the whole scene to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
