A 1:72 metal 105 mm barrel for the LeFH 18 Wespe is a precisely turned metal replacement for the plastic barrel from the maker Aber. It is not a model but a refining accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A turned metal barrel from the Aber brand in 1:72 scale, meant as a replacement for the plastic barrel on models of the Wespe self-propelled gun with the LeFH 18 howitzer. This is not a kit but an accurate refining accessory. The machined barrel has a faithful profile and a perfectly circular muzzle.
The 105 mm LeFH 18 was the standard German light field howitzer of the Second World War. Its barrel was also carried by the tracked Wespe, a self-propelled gun built on the chassis of the Panzer II tank. The Wespe was among the widespread German self-propelled howitzers and provided mobile fire support.
Cut off the plastic barrel and clean it up, then glue the metal part in with cyanoacrylate glue. The metal form guarantees a perfectly straight barrel and an accurate shape of the muzzle. Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with a base coat.
This is a refining accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
