A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package contains forty-eight figures in eight poses and captures Prussian fusiliers in the equipment of 1806. The figures are unpainted and molded in one piece. Together with the musketeers of the same range you can assemble a Prussian infantry regiment complete with its light element.
In the Prussian army the fusilier battalions were the light infantry. Unlike the musketeers they fought in a loose formation, occupied obstacles in the terrain and screened the flanks of the main line. They wore a shorter coat and, instead of the tall cap, a characteristic lower headdress that became their recognizable mark. In the campaign of 1806 they were deployed as the advance guard and covered the retreat of beaten corps.
Wash the plastic, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. You tell the fusiliers from the musketeers mainly by the shape of the headdress and the green piping, so when painting, spray the common blue base first and then fine-tune the details. Arrange the figures more loosely than a close line; it matches their way of fighting. Treat the rifles and bayonets in a dark metal shade, as shiny steel is distracting in this scale.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
