1:72 600 gallon centerline fuel tank for Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II (1 pcs) is a resin replacement for the centerline drop tank for 1:72 models of the Thunderbolt II attack aircraft. It is fitted to a finished kit; the aircraft itself is sold separately.

The accessory set deals with a single element of the load: the high-capacity jettisonable tank that the A-10 attack aircraft carries on the centerline station under the fuselage. The name gives one piece. This is not a kit of the aircraft, but a part that is added to a model already built.
In injection-molded boxings, tanks tend to be split into two shells, so that a seam runs along the whole length and has to be filled and sanded down. With a one-piece casting this step falls away and the surface of revolution stays smooth even after a coat of gloss varnish. The shape of the mounting adapter and the transition to the pylon are clearer as well.
The A-10 Thunderbolt II from the workshop of Fairchild Republic is a single-seat attack aircraft built literally around the seven-barrel GAU-8/A cannon. The pair of TF34 engines set high above the tail of the fuselage, the armored tub around the cockpit and good behavior at low speeds made it an instrument of direct support for ground units. Large external tanks appear on it mainly on long-distance ferry flights.
The set is intended for modelers who want to give a 1:72 machine a more faithful installation. The paints, the glue and the pylons do not belong with it.
