Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package consists of thirty parts from which you assemble twelve riders in four poses and twelve horses in three poses. Three poses belong to the heavy cavalry, one to a light scouting horseman. The manufacturer does not add long spears to the set, only swords, and itself recommends making them from stiff bristle or thin wire.
The heavy Macedonian cavalry called the hetairoi was the striking force of Alexander's army. The riders attacked in a wedge formation and their main weapon was the long xyston spear, held in both hands and often broken in the fighting. They were supplemented by the prodromoi, light riders without armor intended for reconnaissance and pursuit. It was precisely the interplay of phalanx and cavalry that decided the battles of Issus and Gaugamela.
The figures are of softened plastic, which repels paint without preparation. First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, let them dry completely and spray them with a flexible primer. Remove flash from the mold with a sharp scalpel by drawing it, not by cutting deep. Seat the riders on the horses dry and only once you have checked the fit, fix them with cyanoacrylate glue. Insert the spears into the closed hand at the very end, once the painting is finished.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
