An injection-molded plastic kit of a recovery tractor in 1:72 scale from the Belarusian maker PST. The IS-2MT is based on the chassis of the Soviet IS-2 heavy tank, on which the turret was replaced by a conversion for towing and recovering equipment. The exact contents of the box and the marking options follow the instructions in it.
The basis of the vehicle is the IS-2 heavy tank, one of the most powerful Soviet tanks of the closing phase of the Second World War, named after Joseph Stalin. In the recovery conversion the chassis served for towing and recovering damaged equipment from the battlefield. With their powerful chassis, heavy tanks provided great pulling power, which made them suitable as the basis for support and repair vehicles.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. First assemble and paint the running gear and the underside of the hull, and only then close the hull and the body. Apply a primer before painting, best with an airbrush. A working vehicle shows to advantage with a pronounced patina, mud and dust pigments on the running gear and the lower part of the hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
