A Red Fox Studio display base for models in 1:72 scale. The subject is an asphalt surface in the Type 2 version in the larger size of 300 x 230 mm. The surface is color-finished with a three-dimensional relief effect and ready for a model to go on display.

Material and workmanship

The base is a light board of extruded PVC roughly 5 mm thick with a pre-printed surface in a satin sheen that resists UV light. The Type 2 version offers a different drawing from Type 1, and thanks to the larger 300 x 230 mm format it provides more room around the model.

Use and surface finish

• Just place the model on the base and the scene is ready for display
• The board can be trimmed to the size or the shape you need
• The surface can be painted over and weathered with acrylic and enamel paints
• Overspraying with a matte varnish is recommended for a realistic result
