HäT 1:72 Bavarian cavalry is a set of twelve riders with separate sabers and with a standard on every sprue.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from HäT. The box holds twelve riders in four poses and horses in two poses. Two of the poses have a ringed hand, and the maker encloses separate sabers for them. On every sprue there is in addition a cavalry standard, which is the right size but is smooth and without an engraved pattern, so that any design can be painted on it.
The Bavarian cavalry of the Napoleonic Wars took in light and heavy regiments alike and served in the campaigns alongside France. The riders wore the helmet with a caterpillar crest just as the infantry did, which sets the Bavarian army apart from every other army of the time. After 1813, when Bavaria went over to the coalition, the same regiments fought against their former ally.
Wash the plastic, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. Set the saber into the ringed hand only once the rider is painted. We recommend replacing the standard with thin foil, or painting a pattern onto the plastic part, as a smooth area otherwise looks empty. Seat the rider in the saddle once the horse is finished. The poses face forward, so the formation looks good as a marching or charging squadron.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
