An injection-molded plastic set of figures of British commandos in 1:72 scale from Italeri. The box offers dozens of small figures in many different poses, so a single set will fill a whole scene. The smaller 1:72 scale means more figures in the box and a smaller size for each piece.
The British commandos were elite assault units of the Second World War intended for landing and raiding operations. The soldiers wore camouflage battledress, knitted caps and light kit with a varied range of small arms and support weapons. The figures capture the dynamics of combat: firing, dashing forward and serving weapons.
Separate the small parts with a sharp knife and join them with thin cement for plastic; on very small pieces cyanoacrylate glue helps too. Paint with matte colors and pick out the details with a wash and a dry brush. In 1:72 it pays to cut back on the amount of detail and to concentrate on a clean overall impression.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
