This product is not a model of a tank but an accessory set of replacement resin tracks for assembled BT-2 and BT-5 models in 1:72 scale. The tracks are designed in 3D and cast as a joined run, so once they are cut from the casting gates the parts need only to be fitted to the running gear. The package holds eight resin parts and replaces the tracks supplied in the base kit.
The BT-2 and BT-5 were Soviet fast wheel-and-track tanks (convertible drive) of the 1930s based on the Christie design, with characteristic running gear. They were marked out by their high speed and were the forerunners of the later BT-7 line and, indirectly, of the legendary T-34.
Wash the parts before gluing and separate them carefully from the gates. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and protect your airways when sanding resin. For a realistic look we recommend steel shades, bringing them out with pigments and weathering with mud or dust.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
