Two standing figures of airmen for models of the CH-53E Super Stallion and MH-53E Sea Dragon helicopters in 1:72 scale, pose type 1.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion is a heavy transport helicopter of the US Marine Corps that will carry troops and equipment and also manages a load slung underneath. The related MH-53E Sea Dragon serves the Navy for airborne mine clearance and is recognized by its massive side sponsons holding fuel. The two versions thus offer a different story but the same class of machine, and only a human figure beside them brings out how enormous these helicopters are.
The package contains two figures in 1:72 scale captured standing. The designation type 1 distinguishes their pose from the other variants in the same line, so that small groups can be put together without repeated stances. The set is intended to complete a finished model, for a diorama on a ship's deck and for an airfield scene.
Cut away the excess material with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder gently, so that the folds of the clothing stay readable. With parts that are not polystyrene, cyanoacrylate glue holds the joint best, so check the material in the instructions. Wash and degrease the figures before painting. Apply the paint in thin coats and let the contrast do the work: base, main areas, then toning of the folds and a light picking out of the edges. A figure placed close to the fuselage helps the viewer judge the dimensions of the machine, so stand it where it will be seen in full.
The set will please builders of naval helicopters in 1:72 scale and everyone who wants a scene by their model rather than just a machine. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
