Covers for C-118 Liftmaster 1:72 is a resin set of engine covers that replaces the plastic parts and sharpens up the engine nacelles of the model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail set, not a model of an aircraft. It holds accurately cast engine covers for models of the Douglas C-118 Liftmaster transport in 1:72 scale. The castings bring a truer shape to the covers, along with the cooling gills and the detail that is hard to reproduce on plastic parts.
The Douglas C-118 Liftmaster was the military transport version of the four-engined DC-6 with Pratt & Whitney radial engines. It carried both passengers and freight, and its prominent engine nacelles are among the recognition features of the real aircraft.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Glue them with cyanoacrylate (super glue); protect your airways when sanding. Paint the inner faces of the covers before closing them up and match the surface to the rest of the fuselage.
It is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
