An injection-molded plastic kit of the Yugoslav licensed variant of the Dornier Do 17 bomber in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer RS Models. It is a short-run kit, which besides the plastic parts is usually completed by small parts that raise the detail. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and is intended rather for more experienced builders.
The Do 17K is the Yugoslav branch of the German fast bomber Do 17. After seeing the type at the air races in Zurich in 1937 the Royal Yugoslav Air Force bought a license for production and adapted the machine for Gnome-Rhône 14N radial engines. The armament consisted of a 20 mm cannon and machine guns. Bomber and reconnaissance versions arose, which the Yugoslav army committed at the start of the Second World War.
With short-run kits count on careful cleaning up of the parts and possible dry-fitting before gluing. Bond the plastic with a thin modeling cement and the cockpit glazing with super glue or a canopy glue. Before the decals, lay a gloss coat over the paint so that the markings adhere well and no silvering edges arise.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
