EGBU-15 (BLU-109 warhead) 1:72: a resin 3D-printed set of two guided bombs and the AN/AXQ-14 data pod from the maker Reskit for detailed stores on models of combat aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is NOT an aircraft model but an accurate armament accessory. It holds two 3D-printed EGBU-15 guided bombs with the penetrating BLU-109 warhead and one AN/AXQ-14 data pod in 1:72 scale. The parts are printed in quality modeling resin with sharp edges, a fine surface and faithful detail of the beams and control surfaces. It is intended to be hung on models of tactical and strategic aircraft of the era.
The EGBU-15 is a guided glide bomb that came about by modernizing the GBU-15 bomb with satellite (GPS) guidance; the penetrating BLU-109 warhead is intended against strengthened and buried targets. The AN/AXQ-14 data pod is carried by the parent aircraft and serves to transmit the picture and the commands between the machine and the bomb during guidance. The typical carriers were machines such as the F-4, F-15E, F-16I, F-111 or B-52.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports, wash off the remains and degrease them. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before painting we recommend a primer, then the shades of aircraft ordnance and a fine accentuation of the lettering and the bands. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
