The reactive armor blocks 1:72 Explosive Reactive Armor - no. 1 are cast in resin by the Italian brand Royal Model for the small scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Small resin boxes of the kind that clad the hulls and turrets of Soviet and present-day tanks. Royal Model offers them for the small 1:72 scale as well, where a single model needs a great many of them, which is why the set is conceived as a stock of individual pieces to be laid out according to your own subject.
These are boxes with an explosive insert between two plates. When a shaped-charge round strikes, the insert detonates and the plate flying apart disrupts the penetrating jet of metal before it eats through the base armor. The 1980s brought the first systematic use, and since then the cladding has turned up on practically every battlefield. It is precisely this that gives tanks their characteristic angular, bristling outline.
First mark the rows in pencil from a photograph of the subject, and only then glue. In 1:72 scale tweezers and thin cyanoacrylate glue applied with a wire will help. Keep the spacing regular, but do not be afraid to leave a few boxes out or to tilt them, because on the real hardware some were lost and others dented. Unify the paint with the rest of the vehicle and bring out the gaps between the blocks with a dark wash.
The tank itself has to be obtained separately, and so do the paints.
