Responsibility details are not available.
Pre-cut masks of kabuki tape for a model of the American General Dynamics F-111 combat aircraft and its electronic warfare version, in 1:72 scale. The EXPERT designation says nothing about difficulty but about extent: it is the widest level of coverage within the line, the choice for a builder who does not want to finish anything with a brush after unmasking.
The smaller the model, the harder small shapes are to cut by hand. Windows, lights and camouflage transitions measure a few millimeters in 1:72 scale, and neither scissors nor a scalpel guarantee accuracy in them. A die-cut mask gives the shape right the first time and identically on both sides of the model, which tells most on symmetrical details. The precise list of the places this set covers is on the packaging.
Have fine-tipped tweezers, good light and a clean, degreased surface ready. Lay the mask on and press it down with a toothpick around the edge; on small parts gentle pressure is enough, or the tape will ripple. Spray in thin coats so that the frame does not thicken visually. Work from the interior color through the base to the camouflage. Remove them shortly after drying, pulling at a shallow angle. The unused remainder of the sheet comes in useful for masking wheels and camouflage transitions.
The set serves for masking during painting. It does not contain the model, paints or glue.
