A resin F-16CJ Block 50 exhaust nozzle in the closed position 1:72 (Aires) replaces the plastic nozzle with a faithful resin part with the correct internal structure. The nozzle is shaped for the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of an aircraft but a resin detail set of an exhaust nozzle from the maker Aires. The part replaces the simplified nozzle from a kit with a faithful rendition of the nozzle in the drawn-in, that is closed, position matching an engine at idle or an aircraft shut down. Intended for the F-16CJ Block 50 in 1:72 scale. The mating diameter matches the rear fuselage of the Tamiya kit.
The General Dynamics (today Lockheed Martin) F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multirole fighter. The Block 50 version is powered by an engine with a distinctive nozzle whose petals open out or draw in under various regimes. The closed position matches an aircraft standing still.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut the casting block off and clean the mating surface up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). We recommend painting the inside of the nozzle in metal shades and sooting it so that the structure of the petals stands out.
Intended for the Tamiya F-16CJ kit in 1:72 scale; that is not included in the package.
