Colored 3D elements for the crew compartment of an F-4EJ Kai Phantom II model in 1:72 scale, according to the name intended for the Hasegawa kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-4EJ Kai is the Japanese form of the Phantom II fighter. The basis was the F-4E version built under license for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF), and the Kai designation belongs to a later upgrade with new cockpit equipment and avionics. It is the cockpit that is most visible on a model, especially on a two-seat machine with extensive glazing: in 1:72 scale the instrument panels and side panels make up an area the size of a fingernail, on which every detail nonetheless shows.
The set brings colored three-dimensional elements for the crew compartment, that is finished colored areas with three-dimensional relief that replace the lengthy hand painting of tiny dials and switches. According to the name it is built for a kit from Hasegawa, and on the moldings of other makers the shapes may fit differently. Exactly what the sheet contains and where each element belongs are given in the enclosed manufacturer's instructions.
Before applying them, check in the instructions whether the elements are self-adhesive. The method of application differs between ranges, so do not start with water until you have checked it in the manufacturer's instructions. First wash and degrease the area the element is going onto and let it dry thoroughly. Transfer the element with tweezers or a toothpick with a drop of water on the tip, lay it down and press it with a soft stick from the center toward the edges. Fit them before closing up the fuselage, as afterwards you cannot reach the place.
This is an accessory to a kit. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
