A resin set of accessories from the Czech manufacturer Firma49 in the small scale of 1:72. It contains miniature castings of Soviet canteens used by the Red Army in the Second World War. It is not a kit but a detail in its own right for figures, vehicles and dioramas. Working with parts this small is meant for more experienced modelers.
The canteen was basic equipment for a Soviet soldier: an elongated sheet-metal vessel with a screw cap, usually in a cloth cover and with a loop for the belt. It was carried by the infantry and by vehicle crews throughout the war.
Carefully separate the miniature parts from the casting blocks and wash them free of mold release agent (with respiratory protection). Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After the primer, shades of steel or aluminum on the vessel and khaki to olive tones on the cover work well; a very fine wash will emphasize the shape.
The accessory is supplied as unpainted resin castings. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
