French Cuirassiers, Napoleonic Wars, 1:72 is a set of unpainted plastic cavalry figures with horses from Italeri.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of figures from Italeri captures the French heavy cavalry, the cuirassiers of Napoleon's Grande Armée. The package contains riders and horses molded in plastic, which can be used in dioramas and on the wargaming table alike. It is a set of cavalry figures, not a model of a vehicle.
The cuirassiers were the elite heavy cavalry of the Napoleonic era. You can recognize them by the polished metal cuirass, the breastplate, by the helmet with a Minerva-style crest and by the heavy straight sword. They were committed to decisive mounted charges and were among the feared units of the battlefield, including at Waterloo.
Wash the parts and apply a primer before painting. Bring out the cuirass and the helmet with a bright metallic paint and gentle polishing, so that they contrast with the blue uniform. Paint with acrylics and bring the horses to life with dry-brushing. If the plastic is soft, glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
The figures are supplied unglued and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
