An injection-molded plastic set of figures of the German Afrikakorps in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Italeri. The box offers dozens of small figures in many different poses, so a single set will populate a whole desert battlefield. The smaller 1:72 scale means more figures and a smaller size for each individual piece.
The Afrikakorps was the German expeditionary corps deployed in North Africa from 1941 to 1943. The soldiers wore light tropical uniforms, tropical helmets or side caps and lightened gear adapted to the desert climate. The figures capture the movement of combat: firing, short rushes and serving the weapons.
Separate the small parts with a sharp knife and join them with thin cement for plastic; on the smallest pieces cyanoacrylate glue helps. Paint the tropical uniforms in sand and khaki tones and bring out the detail with a wash and a dry brush. In 1:72 put your trust in a clean overall impression.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
