This set holds three resin figures in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker CMK. They represent the crew of the German 3.7 cm antiaircraft gun of the kind carried by the S-100 class fast attack craft (Schnellboot). The figures are intended for more experienced modelers who want to bring the deck of their boat model to life with a realistic scene of the weapon being manned.
The fast attack craft of the Kriegsmarine were deployed in World War II in the English Channel, the North Sea and the Mediterranean. The single-barrel 3.7 cm automatic gun was part of their defensive armament against low-flying aircraft. The figures capture gunners in period uniforms manning the weapon.
First wash the mold release agent off the parts, carefully cut away the casting blocks and gate remnants and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue. Fill the small joints with putty. We recommend applying a base coat (primer) and painting the figures with acrylic or enamel paints; thin washes bring out the skin and the shadows in the folds. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
