Injection-molded plastic kit of the Handley Page Victor K.2/SR.2 in 1:72 scale from Airfix, the British Cold War strategic aircraft in its tanker and reconnaissance versions.
Responsibility details are not available.
A large injection-molded plastic kit of the British Handley Page Victor jet aircraft in 1:72 scale from Airfix. The box makes it possible to build the K.2 tanker version for refueling in flight as well as the SR.2 reconnaissance version. According to the manufacturer the box offers three color scheme and RAF marking options. Check the actual contents and the number of parts against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Handley Page Victor was a strategic bomber with a characteristic crescent wing and, together with the Avro Vulcan and the Vickers Valiant, made up the British trio of nuclear carriers, the V-force of the early Cold War. Later K.2 aircraft were converted into flying tankers and gave the RAF the ability to refuel in flight; they were used, among other things, during the Falklands conflict and in operations in the Middle East. The SR.2 reconnaissance version served for long-range strategic reconnaissance.
Given the size of the aircraft, take care that the fuselage and the wings are glued firmly and cleanly with liquid cement for plastic; it is a good idea to support the large areas and let them dry thoroughly. Paint the interior and the landing gear bays before closing them up. Spray the large areas with an airbrush over primer and pick out the panel lines with a wash. For a model of this size, consider a firm stand or enough room in the display case.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
