A set of four turned metal cannon barrels, MASTER 1:72 Hawker Hurricane Mk IIC - Hispano Mk I 20 mm, replaces the plastic barrels and adds fine detail with flat recoil springs to a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A turned metal detail set, not a model of an aircraft. It contains four barrels of the 20 mm Hispano Mk I cannons with their characteristic flat recoil springs, with which you replace the plastic armament parts on a Hurricane Mk IIC model in 1:72 scale.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk IIC was the armament variant with a wing fitted with four 20 mm Hispano cannons. That firepower made it an effective machine for attacks on ground targets and for night fighting in the second half of the war. The early Hispano Mk I cannon had flat recoil springs visible on the outside, which in this scale are a clearly visible distinguishing detail. It is exactly the faithful rendering of the thin barrels and the springs that sets a carefully built model apart from one built straight out of the box.
Cut off the plastic barrels and replace them with the metal parts. Glue with cyanoacrylate onto degreased surfaces. A metal barrel will not snap in the small 1:72 scale and holds a perfectly straight axis, which thin plastic often cannot. Before painting, go over the metal with a base coat (a primer) for better adhesion and leave the bores cleaned up and masked.
This is not a complete model. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit.
