Hawker Sea Hawk FGA.6 in 1:72 scale – an injection-molded plastic kit of the British carrier-borne jet fighter-bomber from Hobby Boss.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Hawker Sea Hawk carrier-borne jet aircraft in the FGA.6 version in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. The model captures the elegant single-seat machine with its straight wings and characteristic split exhaust outlets on the sides of the fuselage. It is a rewarding subject of postwar British naval aviation that suits a collection of jet fighters.
The Hawker Sea Hawk was a single-seat jet fighter and fighter-bomber of the British Fleet Air Arm (the air arm of the Royal Navy). It was the first jet machine from Hawker and in naval service it proved a reliable and rugged workhorse that also scored export success. The FGA.6 version (Fighter Ground Attack) was intended for fighter and attack duties – it carried unguided rockets and drop tanks and was one of the most widespread variants of the type. The Sea Hawk served from the decks of aircraft carriers and from land bases alike.
This is an injection-molded plastic model; glue the parts with modeling cement for plastic, and super glue suits the small and clear parts. Apply a primer before painting and lay the paints down with an airbrush in thin coats. Bring the typical naval finish (for example a dark blue-gray upper shade and a light lower surface) to life with a light emphasis of the panels using a wash. Do not forget to match the clear cockpit canopy and to seat the landing gear and the underwing stores carefully.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
