Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package contains twelve riders in four poses, complete with horses. The subject is Indian cavalry of the fourth century BC, that is, the time when Indian armies clashed with Alexander's campaign. The figures are unpainted and the riders have to be seated in the saddle.
Indian armies built their strength above all on elephants and on infantry with long bows, but the cavalry played an important role on the wings. The riders fought with javelin and bow and were protected only by light clothing and a small shield. At the battle of the Hydaspes in 326 BC the Indian cavalry of King Porus met the Macedonian horsemen, and the fight was decided only by Alexander's flanking march across a ford further upstream.
Wash the plastic, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. Indian cavalry will take rich color, and white and brightly colored fabrics with a decorative border match the depictions of the period. Paint the horses in muted tones so that the colorful saddle cloths stand out. Seat the riders only once the horse is painted. The turbans and headdresses deserve a shade of their own; from a distance it is they that place the whole set unmistakably.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
