A set of 3D-printed, fully colored decals on decal backing paper from Kelik for detailing the cockpit of a model of the Japanese F-2A fighter from the Fine Molds kit in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory to the base model: the relief decals replace flat instrument panels and side consoles and give a small 1:72 cockpit readable depth.
The Mitsubishi F-2A is a single-seat multirole fighter of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF). It grew out of the F-16 design, but it has a larger wing with a considerable share of composites and reworked avionics. It entered service around the turn of the millennium and forms the backbone of Japanese tactical aviation.
Release the decals in lukewarm water, transfer them onto the cleaned surfaces of the cockpit parts and press them down gently. Because of the small scale, work with a sharp scalpel and tweezers; a decal softener will make them settle into the relief and a matte varnish will unify the surface. Trying the fit dry before closing the fuselage is recommended.
A standalone detail accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
