This item is not an aircraft kit but an add-on set cast in modeling resin. It replaces the interior of the glazed forward fuselage on a Ju 88 model in 1:72 scale. Because the real aircraft had extensively glazed crew accommodation, the inside is unusually visible on a finished model and a simplified plastic interior looks empty there. The resin casting carries finer detail of the instruments, the seats and the internal structure. The number of parts and the contents of the package are stated on the box.
The Junkers Ju 88 was a German twin-engine multirole aircraft of the Second World War period, used in the bomber, reconnaissance and night fighter roles. The A-1 version was one of the early production forms of the bomber line. A typical feature of the type was the continuously glazed forward fuselage, in which the whole crew sat together. The Ju 88 was developed further during the war into a great many subvariants and was among the most numerous German aircraft of its category.
It is best to assemble and paint the whole interior before the fuselage is closed up, because once it is glued together you will not reach it. Wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent first and cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw. Test the fit dry, as interior sets usually call for the fuselage walls to be thinned. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is, with a cyanoacrylate. The detail of the instrument panels comes out after a dark wash and a light pass with a dry brush. Mask the glazing inside and outside.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
