About product

Quinta Studio 1:72 Kamov Ka-52 - radar bay

The set brings a resin, 3D-printed radar bay for a model of the Kamov Ka-52 attack helicopter in 1:72 scale. It replaces the simplified plastic part and gives the nose section fine, crisply printed detail. It is NOT a helicopter model but an aftermarket accessory for one.

The real subject

The Kamov Ka-52 Alligator is a Russian two-seat attack helicopter with a coaxial rotor. The front section of the fuselage carries sensors and radar equipment; a more accurate rendering of the nose raises the fidelity of the model even in the small 1:72 scale.

Building tips

  • Wash the parts free of uncured print resin and cut them off the print supports.
  • Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • Protect your airways when sanding resin.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers who want to refine the nose of a Ka-52 in 1:72 scale.
  • Builders who combine plastic with resin accessories.

FAQ

No, it is a resin accessory for the nose (the radar bay). The base model is obtained separately.

Of resin, by 3D printing. Wash it and cut the print supports off before gluing.

Super glue (cyanoacrylate) is the most reliable.
