Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M3A1 Scout Car armored reconnaissance vehicle in 1:72 scale from Italeri. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it contains the body and chassis parts, crew figures and a decal sheet that allows the vehicle to be built in several color finishes. In its extent and its scale it is a rewarding model for a collection as well as for a diorama.
The M3 Scout Car was developed by the American White Motor Company from the end of the 1930s. It was a lightly armored all-wheel-drive vehicle intended for reconnaissance and patrol work; it was powered by a six-cylinder gasoline engine and carried a crew and a small party of troops. It was typically armed with a 12.7 mm Browning heavy machine gun supplemented by lighter machine guns. The vehicles served the Allies on a number of fronts of the Second World War.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, sand the seams back and apply a primer before painting. It is worth painting the open body and the interior and, if you wish, adding washes and pigments before the build is finished. An airbrush makes an even coat of the base olive color easier, and the decals should go onto a smooth gloss base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
