This is a resin detail set, not an airplane kit. The set in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Reskit contains precisely cast main landing gear wheels for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf-109G fighter. The tires are in the type 1 form and are rendered as weighted: the lower part is slightly flattened, as though the weight of a standing aircraft were resting on the wheels. The set is intended to be swapped for the plastic parts of the corresponding Bf-109G kits in the same scale.
The Messerschmitt Bf-109G Gustav was the most widespread version of the German fighter of the Second World War. The form of the tires and the hubs differed between the individual series; type 1 matches one of the period patterns of tread and hub. A faithful rendering of the wheels is among the most conspicuous details of a model, because the landing gear is clearly visible on a finished replica.
First wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks off carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue resin with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting; the tires are brought to life by a light emphasis of the tread and a dusting with pigments, and the hubs by a shade matching the machine you have chosen.
