An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet MiG-23 fighter in the ML/MLA version (NATO code Flogger-G) in 1:72 scale from the Clear Prop Models brand. It is the Advanced edition, that is a simpler form with fewer extras than the sister Expert edition, yet still meant rather for more advanced modelers. It holds plastic sprues, a clear part and a decal sheet. It differs from the Expert edition (the MLAE-2 version) in the sub-variant and in the smaller extent of the contents.
The MiG-23 was a Soviet single-seat fighter with a variable-geometry wing that was swept out and in during flight according to the regime of flight. The versions of the ML and MLA series were lighter and more agile late forms with an upgraded radar, meant chiefly for interception and air combat. It was powered by a powerful turbojet, and the type served with the Soviet Air Force and with many other operators.
Bond the plastic with thin modeling cement and sand the joints of the fuselage and the air intakes. Finish the cockpit and the landing gear bays before closing the fuselage, and use masks on the glazing. Settle the correct setting of the movable wing and the external stores. Spray the camouflage with an airbrush after a primer has been applied, lay on gloss varnish before the decals and fine-tune the patina with a light wash flowed into the engraved lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
