1:72 Mirage IIIE - exhaust nozzle (3D Printed) is a printed replacement for the engine exhaust nozzle for the model of the Mirage IIIE fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A printed replacement for the engine exhaust nozzle for the model of the French Mirage IIIE fighter in 1:72 scale. It replaces the plastic part, which in a kit is usually thick-walled and has no legible internal structure. Printing manages a thin wall and the layering of the movable petals, so you can look into the nozzle and it does not end in an empty hole. It is an accessory for an existing kit, not an aircraft model.
The Mirage III was a French supersonic fighter with a delta wing that spread to a number of countries in the 1960s and became famous in several conflicts. The IIIE version was a multirole variant with a longer fuselage and extended navigation equipment for attacks on ground targets. It was powered by a turbojet with an afterburner, whose exhaust nozzle is made up of movable petals that change the cross section according to the setting.
The printed parts are held on thin print supports. Snip them off close to the part and level the surface with a file or a scalpel. They are bonded with super glue. Apply a primer before painting. The nozzle looks best in a combination of metallic shades: lighter inside, darker and burnt toward blue or brown toward the opening. Refine the transition by toning, not with a sharp edge.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
