Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale with forty-eight figures of French light infantry in eight poses. It captures the appearance after 1812, that is, after the introduction of the new cut of coat. It is supplied unpainted and follows on from the line infantry sets in the same scale.
The French light regiments were divided into three kinds of company: chasseurs in the center of the formation, voltigeurs as the dispersed screen and carabiniers as the elite assault element. Despite the label light, these regiments commonly fought in close order like line infantry and differed from it mainly in appearance and tradition. After 1812 they received, like the line infantry, a shorter coat with closed lapels. It was in this dress that they went through the campaigns of 1813 to 1815.
With forty-eight figures, work in waves: undercoat the whole batch, then lay the blue coat down and only at the end add the faces, the straps and the colored facings. The color of the facings and the plume is what tells the kinds of company apart, so decide in advance how many of each you want in the formation. Build the blue up in layers over a gray base so that it does not stay muddy.
The figures are supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
