HäT 8010 Russian artillery is a 1:72 set with four guns, twenty-four crew figures and four horses, fifty-six parts in all.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set in 1:72 scale contains fifty-six parts: four guns, twenty-four crew figures and four horses. Four guns in one package mean you can build a whole battery without having to buy more boxes. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Russian artillery was among the strongest in Europe during the Napoleonic wars, both in the number of guns and in their caliber. Batteries were built large and used in concentration, because the Russian command relied more on weight of fire than on mobility. In battles such as Borodino it was precisely the artillery that decided matters, holding its position even when the infantry around it was falling back. The crew had firmly divided roles at the gun and had to keep to them even under fire.
The wheels have fine spokes, so separate them with a sharp knife and a little at a time. The carriages of Russian guns were a conspicuous green, so do not mix the shade too dark, otherwise it turns black in a small scale. Darken the metal parts and lighten only the edges. Arrange the crews around the gun in natural roles and unify them with a single uniform shade; leave the horses for last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
