This is a resin detail set, not an airplane kit. It contains external (droppable) fuel tanks in two capacities, 275 and 335 gallons, for models of the American North American F-100D Super Sabre fighter. The castings have faithful shapes and a smooth surface and widen the choice of stores. It is intended for 1:72 scale.
The North American F-100 Super Sabre was the first American production fighter able to fly supersonically in level flight. The F-100D version was a fighter-bomber with extended armament and served widely over Vietnam. For longer range it carried large droppable tanks under the wings, whose capacities matched the type of mission.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces gently. Bond with super glue. The tanks typically have a smooth gloss or metal finish, so smooth the surfaces carefully before painting and tidy up the seams after the halves are joined.
The set is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
