Check the actual package contents and the decal options against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The P-40E was among the most widespread American fighters of the beginning of the Second World War. It was powered by the liquid-cooled V12 Allison V-1710 and it carried six heavy machine guns in the wings. It flew in the service of the US Army Air Forces as well as of the Royal Air Force and of further Allies under the name Kittyhawk, and it became famous among other things for its use in North Africa and the Pacific; many enthusiasts remember it with the striking shark mouth on the nose.
Even with a simplified kit it pays to fit the parts dry first and to clean up the mold seams. Glue with thin cement for plastic, and glue the cockpit glazing carefully with canopy glue. Apply primer before painting and use an airbrush; paint the cockpit interior before closing the fuselage. Complete the typical Allied schemes (olive upper surface, light lower) after the gloss varnish and the decals with a wash of the panel lines and fine wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
