The Rafale combines a delta wing with small lifting surfaces ahead of it, which gives it a characteristic silhouette. The C version flies from land bases and the M version from the deck of an aircraft carrier, and they differ mainly in the construction of the landing gear and in the arresting gear. Both carry a single person, so a single figure matches them, even when you build both machines side by side.
In 1:72 scale a figure takes up a height of roughly two and a half centimeters. There is no point looking for fine detail on it; what matters is the silhouette and a readable difference in color between the flight suit, the helmet and the boots. Judge the result from the ordinary distance at which a model is viewed, not through a magnifier on the table. What looks coarse in the hand usually sits just right on a shelf beneath an aircraft.
