Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat trainer version of the famous British fighter Sopwith F.1 Camel of the First World War, in 1:72 scale from the brand Roden. The set contains plastic parts with reproduced fabric surfaces, a detailed engine and cockpits, and a decal sheet. As a biplane it calls for rigging, that is stretching the wires between the wings and to the fuselage.
The trainer version of the Camel was created in 1918 by converting the fighter into a two-seat aircraft. The armament was removed, the fuel tank was made smaller and a front cockpit for a second crew member was inserted ahead of the original one. The changes tamed the Camel's nervous behavior and lowered the risk of falling into a spin, so the machine was suited to training pilots on this famously agile but treacherous type.
Finish and paint the engine and both cockpits before closing the fuselage. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement. After spraying the base, paint the model with an airbrush and bring the fabric surface to life with a fine wash. Count on rigging - stretch the wires with elastic filament, for example, ideally only after painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
