Hauler photo-etch for the SPz Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicle in 1:72 scale is a photo-etched detail set. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an accessory for more faithful detail.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from Hauler holds thin photo-etched parts that in a small scale replace the features which come out of a mold too heavy. Typically these are grilles, covers, brackets and rims. The exact list of parts is in the instructions that belong with the set.
The Marder is a tracked infantry fighting vehicle of the West German and later the German army. It carries a squad of infantry, who dismount by a drop ramp at the rear, and it has an autocannon in a traversing cupola. The 1A3 version brought reworked armor on the hull and the turret, which changed the shape of the side plates and the arrangement of the external features — on a model you recognize it by the more angular outlines and by covers different from those of the earlier configurations.
The order is the key: work out in advance which photo-etched parts you will glue on before painting and which only after. Anything that masking tape can damage belongs at the very end. Cut the fret with a scalpel on glass, never with scissors. If the sheet springs back while being bent, run it over the edge of a razor blade for a moment — bending it slightly too far and truing it back gives a sharper edge in the end. Dose the super glue as a drop on a piece of foil and carry it over with a pin. As for painting: a primer on degreased metal is a necessity, otherwise the surface will flake during assembly.
It is a detail accessory, not a model of a vehicle. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package. Check that it matches your own kit.
