This is a resin detail set from CMK, not a submarine model. The set renders the forward (bow) torpedo room of the Type IX submarine including the torpedo tubes, the loading winch and the cart for handling torpedoes.
The bow torpedo room was both the fighting heart of the submarine and the sleeping quarters of part of the crew. Handling the heavy torpedoes was done with winches, pulleys and carts, so that the weapons could be shifted and the launch tubes reloaded.
Separate the parts from the casting blocks, wash them and degrease them. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. A combination of light surfaces, metallic shades on the torpedoes and a wash brings out the wealth of detail in the room.
This is an aftermarket resin accessory, not a submarine model. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
