The U-Boot IX Command Section is a resin detail set of the command (control) section of the interior of a Type IX submarine in 1:72 scale.

This resin detail set is NOT a submarine model but an accessory for a plastic kit of the German Type IX submarine in 1:72 scale. It adds a faithful interior of the central command section, the control room with its instruments, periscopes, helm and controls. The set combines cast resin with photo-etched sheet and offers a level of detail that the base kit does not capture.
The command section is the heart of a submarine and on a build with open hatches or a cutaway hull it is the most exposed to view. The set makes it possible to create a striking view into the innards of the boat and it suits being combined with the other sections of the same line.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Paint the interior before closing the hull, using a wash and a dry brush to bring out the instruments and the piping.
This is an accessory for a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
