U-Boot IX - front crew quarters, 1:72 - a resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer CMK for finishing the interior of a model of the German Type IX ocean-going submarine faithfully.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail set from CMK, not a submarine model. The set faithfully renders the forward living section of the crew of a German Type IX submarine - bunks, personal lockers and watertight bulkheads with doors and a hatch. It serves to open up and detail an interior that a base model tends to handle only in a simplified way.
The Type IX was a large ocean-going submarine of the Kriegsmarine intended for long patrols in the Atlantic and in distant waters. The crew's living space was cramped, bunks were shared between watches and every meter of the hull had a use. It is exactly this atmosphere that the set conveys for a cutaway model or a model with an open hull.
Separate the parts carefully from the casting blocks, wash the mold release residue off them and degrease them. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. A base coat of primer, light interior shades and a subsequent accenting of the details with a wash and a dry brush are all recommended.
This is an aftermarket resin accessory, not a submarine model. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
