This resin detail accessory is NOT a model of a submarine but an accessory for a plastic kit of the German Type IX submarine in 1:72 scale. It makes it possible to show the front as well as the rear mouths of the torpedo tubes with the muzzle doors open, which a basic kit usually offers only in the closed form. Open torpedo tubes give the hull a dynamic and realistic look.
It replaces the closed mouths of the torpedo tubes with finer resin parts with open doors. It suits builds showing a submarine at readiness, or dioramas. It is an exterior detail of the bow and stern parts of the hull.
Wash the mold release off the resin parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Bring out the inner surfaces of the doors with a dark wash and give the hull a patina to suit the scene you have chosen.
This is an accessory for a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
