U-boot IXC – crew handling a torpedo (3 figures, 1:72) is a resin set of three figures for depicting work in a submarine's torpedo section.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of three resin figures in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker CMK. This is not a submarine model but an interior accessory for a model of a Type IXC submarine. The figures capture crew members handling a torpedo, one of the most demanding routine jobs inside the boat.
Loading and moving torpedoes were among the physically hardest tasks on Type IXC submarines. Torpedoes were shifted with block and tackle and human strength in an extremely cramped space. The scene therefore captures the combat operation of a submarine well and suits a cutaway diorama of the torpedo section.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut away the casting blocks and fit the heads. Do the gluing with cyanoacrylate glue, the sanding with respiratory protection. The working poses come out well with the muscular tension brought out by shading and with matte shades of the work clothing.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
