Plastic kit of the British long-range bomber Vickers Wellesley Mk.I (LRDU) in 1:72 scale from Valom.
Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the British single-engine long-range bomber Vickers Wellesley Mk.I in the LRDU (Long Range Development Unit) form, in 1:72 scale from Valom. The kit is typical of the short-run molds of the Valom brand and usually comes with photo-etched parts and clear parts for the canopy. This boxing differs from the combat version precisely in its focus on the unit for long-distance flights.
The Wellesley was a British single-engine bomber with an unusual geodetic airframe structure designed by Barnes Wallis. The great span of its slender wing gave it exceptional range. The machines of the Long Range Development Unit became famous in the second half of the 1930s for a record long-distance flight, which confirmed the potential of the geodetic structure and of great range. It is exactly this endurance in the air that defines this particular form.
It is a short-run mold, so expect more careful cleaning up of the parts and dry-fitting. Finish the cockpit and the photo-etched parts before you close up the fuselage, and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Lay down a primer before the color coats and apply the paints with an airbrush. Apply the decals over a gloss base and keep the weathering restrained, with the emphasis on the structured surface of the wing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
