A resin (3D printed) set of replacement wheels for models of the Czechoslovak Aero L-29 Delfin jet trainer. It is an aftermarket accessory that replaces the plastic wheels of the common kits with more accurate parts with a fine tire pattern and hub detail. The set is intended for the widespread L-29 models in this scale. The wheels are prepared for L-29 kits from Eduard, KPM and AMK.

The real subject

The Aero L-29 Delfin was the first jet aircraft of Czechoslovak design and became the standard trainer of a number of Eastern Bloc air forces. Its simple, rugged structure was built in large numbers.

Use and tips

• Wash the parts to remove uncured print resin residue and carefully cut off the print supports.
• Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
• The wheels drop in easily in place of the parts from the kit; check the seating of the axles before gluing.
• Resin holds the sharp detail of the tire pattern, which stands out once painted and lightly brought out.
