HäT 28015 Prussian infantry command group is a set of 28 mm figures in hard plastic - thirty-two figures of officers, standard bearers and drummers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of HäT figures in the 28 mm wargaming scale contains thirty-two figures of a Prussian infantry command group from the years 1813 to 1815. It completes the marching and combat sets from the same range with what they lack: officers, standard bearers, drummers and the other figures that give a battalion its face. The figures are in hard plastic and are supplied unpainted; the equipment is fitted separately.
Command in Napoleonic infantry could not do without visible and audible signs. The standard showed where the center of the unit was and in the smoke and noise was often the only guide; drummers passed on orders that the voice could not carry. That is exactly why the command figures were placed in the middle of a formation, and exactly why they are indispensable in a model collection. The Prussian infantry of the closing Napoleonic wars wore a dark blue coat and a shako with a woolen plume; officers were distinguished by a sash and a sword.
Fit the equipment and let the cement cure before you start painting. Command figures will take more work than the rank and file, because there are few of them in a force and the eye lingers on them: it pays to pick out the face, bring up the buttons and cords in gold and give the standard an evening of its own. The standard looks better if the cloth is given some wave and a shadow in the fold than if it stays flat.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Paints, glue and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
