A printed set of tall grass from Green Stuff World: resin tufts of tall grass for dioramas in scales around 1:48 to 1:35.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of tufts of tall grass made by three-dimensional printing in resin. The maker carries it for scales around one forty-eighth to one thirty-fifth and builds the shapes from real plants, so tufts of different sizes and differently combed out alternate in the set. Compared with static grass, which is scattered and stood up electrostatically, a printed tuft has the advantage that it holds its shape by itself and can be set exactly where you need it, including slopes and edges.
Printed parts have no casting blocks but thin supports that held them during printing. Cut them off with a sharp knife and sand the marks down. They are glued with super glue, that is with cyanoacrylate; cement for plastic has no effect on resin. Apply a primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth printed surface. Grass looks best when you brighten the basic green tone at the tips and let a dark seeping coat run down to the roots; a uniform green looks artificial.
For builders of dioramas and sceneries, for figure painters who make their own bases, and for modelers who are bothered by the fact that static grass cannot be placed exactly.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
